DJ Mister cee co-street naming ceremony

Calvin Lebrun also known as The Legendary DJ Mister Cee, was honored today by having a street co-named after him in the neighborhood where he once resided. Family, friends, fans as well as the Mayor, and of course many industry personalities gathered for this historical event in Brooklyn. DJ Mister Cee represented not only Brooklyn but Hip-Hop as well leaving his footprints along the path of the music industry. This is a big win for the urban communities and the music industry. May we carry his legacy for generations to come.

Brooklyn Unity Fest 8/2/2025

The Brooklyn Unity Fest was created to provide a fun day for family and friends, young and old to get together in support of local communities and local vendors. This year the festival celebrated the 35th anniversary of the movie House Party which has been a staple in the Hip-Hop culture. In attendance performing and participating during the fest, were artist, established and indie artist who all showed up and showed out. Back to school bags were given, as well as other gifts such as headbands, tote bags, t-shirts and more. The local kids participated in a dance contested hosted by Lil Mama and the food was amazing. This was my first time attending the festival and I am grateful for the opportunity provided that allowed me to capture some of the stage presence, vendors and the beautiful locals that celebrated unity, community, and talent. I will definitely be there next year.
